Cumbria Tourist Board - The regional tourist board that covers Cumbria and the Lake District. A large amount of information from a web cam to accommodation, activities to photographs.

Dartmoor National Park - The official site for the park, with seasonal guided walks programme and a selection of fact files covering various aspects of Dartmoor life and history.

Dartmoor Rescue Group - Volunteer rescue service for Dartmoor National Park and surrounding areas in Devon UK.

Dartmoor the Wildest Land - Aspects of the National Park, which include legends, letterboxing, letterbox clues and photographs. For the uninitiated, letterboxes are hidden pots where enthusiasts stamp in their arrival.

Exmoor Directory - A tourist guide to the Exmoor National Park.

Exmoor National Park - The official park authority site giving full details of how best to enjoy visiting the park. Includes a site search facility.

Exmoor Photography - Offers a selection of landscape and wildlife photographs taken in and around the National Park. Includes order form and contact details.

Lake District - Tourism and holiday information for the area. This is a commercial site that concentrates on business, rather than scenic, information for the visitor.

Lake District National Park - The official park authority site including maps, photos conservation and tourist information. In addition there is a section for teachers wanting educational information.

Lake District North West and Solway Coast. - General site for the Lake District North West and Solway Coast. Accommodation, features, photos, things to do and local information.

Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association - The umbrella body for the 13 mountain rescue teams in Cumbria. Teams are largely autonomous, but LDSAMRA coordinates the development of operational matters such as radio communications and insurance, as well as the day to day running of an efficient, voluntary rescue service.

Lake District Walks - By John Dawson. Contains detailed descriptions of 42 walks in the Lake District, with over 300 photographs.

Moorland Magic - Information regarding Dartmoor and Okehampton.

Mountain Bike Guide - Information on the book "Mountain Bike Guide to the Peak District and Derbyshire". Includes updates based on readers' experiences, a discussion forum and useful links.

South Downs Joint Committee - An interim arrangement to face the conservation and development of the South Downs, pending a final decision on National Park status. Information about membership, activities, and contact details.

South Downs Online - A visitor's guide to the area, with information about accommodation, attractions, events, activities, and transport access.

The Broads Authority - Information about Britain's largest wetland: about the area, press releases, visiting the Broads, events, recreation, boating, conservation and management, publications and volunteer opportunities.

The Friends of the Lake District - An organisation established in 1934 and dedicated to protecting and conserving the Lake District, and which campaigned successfully for its designation as a National Park.

The Lingfield Nature Reserves - Public nature reserve near the centre of Lingfield, in Surrey.

The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs Interim Committee - Official site for Scotland's recently designated first National Park. Provides map, Designation Order, visitor services and information on current projects and planning, allied organisations, events and meetings, and various SNH proposals.

The North York Moors - Information about the North York Moors, and the Yorkshire coast.

The Yorkshire Dales - National Park which contains limestone scenery. Information about the area.

Transpeak Walks - Organise guided walks in the area. Future dates and contact details.

Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association - UWFRA provide a voluntary search and rescue service in the caves and fells around Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Airedale.

Walking in the Brecon Beacons - Tried and tested walks over mountains and around waterfalls, giving full details of suitability for general walkers.

Wordsworth's Lake District - Brief guide to the three homes of William Wordsworth in the Lake District, that are all open to the public.

Yorkshire Dales - A guide featuring maps, photographs, attractions, recreation, activities, events, cottages, hotels, and pubs.

Yorkshire Dales National Park - Official site for the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority. Part of this national park is in Cumbria, part in North Yorkshire. Information about the Park, the Park Authority, education and news.
